PINE is changing the way educators are trained and supported.

We want every educator to have the tools they need to support every child.

PINE knows that educators today are supporting  neurodiverse school communities.

15-20% of people are neurodivergent

Even though neurodiversity is everywhere, there are still so many misunderstandings–and missed opportunities.

At PINE we call this the gap.

PINE closes this gap by giving every educator access to expert-developed content and resources on a learning platform designed for them.

”PINE is a breath of fresh air. It’s a different approach to an age-old problem that we’ve all been grappling with within our schools.”

— Joyce Carr, Supervisor of Special Education, Elmira City School District

PINE understands that “one-off” workshops are not enough.

Our supports are continuous & school-wide.

  • PINE’s Leadership Training supports the team of educators responsible for developing their school’s PINE implementation plan.

  • Online coursework offers hours of innovative and flexible online training.

  • Office Hours provide all staff access to 1:1 and team coaching sessions with PINE master educators.

  • Activities include ready-to-use discussion guides, readings and videos.

  • Checklists, classroom tools, and templates help educators put the learning into practice.

  • Every professional gets the opportunity to learn from experts in the field and explore innovative ways to build more inclusive schools.

“What I have found most exciting about PINE is that the information on neurodivergent students also pertains to many neurotypical students.

So many of the strategies that we might employ for neurodivergent students are helpful for all students, the classrooms, and the school communities as a whole.”

PINE partners with neurodivergent experts :

  • "The opportunity that we are creating with PINE is more than just a chance to pick up some CE credits, or a few new tools for your classroom. It is the opportunity to shift your entire mindset about neurodiversity in order to learn what inclusion really looks like. Not only that, but PINE members learn from autistics themselves, as the autistic community is an active partner and guide in creating all of the courses PINE offers."

    –Becca Lory Hector, IBCCES, CAS
    PINE Content Developer

  • "The strategies developed, vetted by autistic individuals, and implemented by practitioners of PINE are a great leap forward in advancing best practices for supporting students on the autism spectrum, others who are neurodiverse, and those who learn differently in both online and face to face formats. What is most amazing is that PINE techniques are exemplars of good teaching practice that will benefit all students."
